Gemotions

He strolled through the house, whistling a jaunty tune. Everything was finally where he wanted it. A sense of completion settled over him. Feeling the need for one last task, he decided it was time to brave the attic. The very thought made him grin.

The attic was a labyrinth of shadows and forgotten objects. He wandered through it, his hands stuffed comfortably in his pockets. He stopped before a large, covered object. Peeking beneath the cloth, he saw a grand, ornate mirror.

He removed the covering, and the mirror's surface shimmered. It reflected not only himself, but a vision of the past. He ran his hand over the polished surface, a smile widening on his face as he felt connected to the lives that had come before him.
